  3. REDMARK  --  ON-SCREEN DOCUMENT MARKUP

  5. The latest version (1.2.2) of Epitome Incorporated's Redmark(TM)
  6. on-screen document markup software for NEXTSTEP(R) is now
  7. available for downloading from several archive sites.
  8.  
  9. Redmark provides on-screen markup for all types of documents. With
  10. Redmark, users can mark up all types of documents including word
  11. processing, page layouts, illustrations, and spreadsheets, using
  12. one application. Other applications provide annotation tools that
  13. work only with their own documents.

  15. Redmark is as simple to use as marking on paper with a red pencil.
  16. It enables users to mark up documents by creating a "print image"
  17. PostScript(R) file of the document being reviewed. Reviewers place
  18. comments into transparent overlays using sticky Post-it-style notes,
  19. voice recordings, text annotations, standard proofreading symbols,
  20. and drawn or imported graphics. With Redmark, a completely paperless
  21. document review cycle is now possible.

  23. Redmark 1.2.2 is fully localized for both English and French.
  24. Version 1.2.2 also fixes several bugs in the previous version. Of
  25. course, Redmark 1.2.2 is upward compatible with all documents
  26. produced by previous versions.

  28. Both the Redmark multi-architecture binary application and its
  29. Digital Librarian-compatible online user's manual are available for
  30. downloading. The Redmark demo application is fully functional except
